Scientist I/II

Responsibilities
As a Scientist I/II, you will be working on research collaborations that use molecular profiling to define the biological networks activated by diseases and therapeutics. Your knowledge of molecular and cellular biology will be instrumental in the development of Causal Network Models that represent the molecular networks involved in disease and response to treatment. You will use your scientific skills to interrogate these models in order to define drug mechanisms of action, mechanisms of toxicity, and biomarkers that can be used clinically to follow these mechanisms. You will work in a highly skilled team environment, working closely with other Scientists, as well as software engineers, statisticians, knowledge modelers and project managers. Your team will collaborate with leading pharmaceutical and consumer product scientists, working together to solve some of the toughest problems in biology today. Your team may also be called upon to work in the area of personalized medicine, as we develop our capabilities through modeling individual patient tumors in order to improve patient treatment.

Your background should include strong scientific skills, an advanced degree in cellular or molecular biology, or an MD with a strong research background. You should have significant post-doctoral experience, a strong affinity for hypothesis development and testing in a collaborative research environment, and a strong desire to learn new things. You should have excellent leadership skills, and a desire to grow into a team leadership role as you gain experience. A strong customer focus is desired, as well as excellent communication skills.
